Every year, good family friends of ours host a Christmas party and we're always excited to find out what fun game we will be playing. Things that we've done in the past:
-"Santa Drop"- dropping varied length and thickness dowel rods, painted to look like Santas into a milk bottle. You have to stand up, no crouching over. For added challenge, drop them from the top of the stairs (Just make sure the container isn't breakable and no one is in the way!)
-"Who am I?"- After having the name of a "Christmas character" (the Grinch, Santa, the Angel Gabriel, Tiny Tim, the Nutcracker, etc) taped to your back, ask everyone yes or no questions about your identity until you can guess correctly. The first person to figure it out wins! (Hint:make it easier for small guests... I always plan specific "characters" for specific guests so that it will be a challenge but not impossible! If someone has never seen "It's a Wonderful Life"- don't make them George Bailey!)
-"Team Olympics"-set up silly Olympic events in different rooms and have teams compete with each other. Ideas:
-racing to blow ping pong balls across a bin/"pool" of water with straws.
-racing to spell words correctly while individually holding letter cards. (You must stand in the right order!)

-Or, decorate Gingerbread houses! (Bonus- you can eat all the extra decorations!)
